The 2nd edition of the New European Bauhaus festival is drawing near!

The second edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival is drawing near! Taking place from 9 April to 13 April 2024, the event will be based physically in Brussels, in Parc du Cinquantenaire and the Art & History Museum, online, and via Satellite events across Europe and beyond.

It will bring together people from all walks of life to discuss and design a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful future. You will be able to switch between the Forum, featuring keynotes and panel discussions, the Fair of workshops, labs, and exhibitions, and the Fest part, showcasing artistic and cultural performances.

 

The Forum will include over 60 speakers from all around the world including European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen, EU Commissioners Johannes Hahn, Iliana Ivanova, Elisa Ferreira and Virginijus Sinkevičius; Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo and State Secretary Thomas Dermine; Prominent architects such as Shigeru Ban and Michael Green ; Significant figures such as Emeka Ogboh, Maja Göpel and Hans Sohlström; Scientists like Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Andreja Kutnar and Matti Kuittinen; Climate activists such as Ilyess El Korbi, Hilda Nakabuye as well as many others from the world of sustainability, culture, art and social science and industry.

The Fair will feature innovative projects, displayed in the Art & History Museum and online on the event platform. The programme will also include the Fest, featuring dance and music performances, and theatre shows - such as Sibil•la and Besac Arthur – as well as scientific experiments, upcycling workshops, and much more.

 

The Festival will also feature the fourth edition of the New European Bauhaus Prizes Ceremony, rewarding 20 projects, designs, and ideas that align and exemplify the movement's commitment and embody the NEB values. This edition will feature a Special Recognition to Ukraine's Reconstruction and Recovery Effort and will put the spotlight on regions across the EU facing more intensively socio-economic constrains, and places challenged the most by the need to evolve to a carbon neutral economy.
